Services
JTI provides both translation and interpretation, as defined below:
Translation
Translation: Webster defines translation as the transmission of concepts from one cultural context to another. Our industry adds "written" to "transmission" to distinguish it from interpretation.
JTI provides J-E and E-J translation by teams composed of native English and native Japanese speakers to ensure that the end product will both sound natural and remain faithful to the original text. Our areas of competency include business, law, banking/finance, engineering, computer software, telecommunications, advertising, and speech-writing.
Our translations are meticulously proofread, concise and organized, rendered for maximum clarity and attention to tone. If requested, we provide editing services to bring the document to publication quality.
We are "wordsmiths" who shape text to convey the image you wish to project.
Interpretation
Consecutive interpreting: the oral interpretation of speech after it is spoken, usually rendered in blocks of a few sentences or paragraphs. It involves considerable skills of memory, note-taking, and information organization.
Simultaneous interpreting: the oral interpretation of speech as it is being spoken. The interpreter must simultaneously understand what is being said, speak, and monitor the interpreter's own speech. Interpreters commonly work as teams in soundproof booths with a direct feed from the speaker.
Our network includes all levels of consecutive interpreters as well as simultaneous interpreters. Our interpreters handle business negotiations, technological and scientific meetings, and conferences in all fields.
